Here are some steps to follow if you intend to query WoS:
If your organization has a paid subscription to Clarivate and Web of Science, you can get an API key that provides the same access.
Someone in your organization can help you with that. Talk to your librarian or your IT support.
If your organization does not have a WoS subscription, you can get a free subscription. There are several steps involved – I am working on the documentation now.
Once you get an API key, you need to put it in the Abstract Sifter. Find the sheet called “secret”. You may need to unhide it. Cell B2.
But, if you are waiting or unsure, you can try out WoS queries on Abstract Sifter. If no APIs are supplied by you, the Sifter will use the default ParlezChem API key. This key provides very limited
access, and you will be sharing it.
